We found this vintage wool Mary McFadden blanket from the 1970s to use for this one of a kind jacket. The blanket was never used and in a box with the tags still on. There are subtle black flecks in the yarn used and there is a grid texture pattern in the blanket. We created this easy shawl collar style with front patch pockets. We kept the original fringe from the blanket and used it on the bottom hem and pockets.
