This jacket is part of our Heirloom Collection which is a limited edition of styles using Civil War era quilt tops from the 1800s. This particular antique quilt top was made using several indigo blue and red calico prints from the 1800s, quilted in an abstract pattern that is so amazing. We then used vintage selvage denim from the 1970s to block the bottom of the jacket and add front patch pockets. The quilt band is made by quilting solid fabric and dying with a natural indigo dye. The jacket is fully lined with a light weight indigo denim cloth. The jacket is a relaxed fit and one size fits all.
This jacket is a very special Heirloom piece that we hope will be worn for many years and then passed down to another person who will love and cherish it. It's truly a work of art that is a piece of history and shows a love and appreciation for historical textiles.
