We started with this incredible 1800s tan petticoat and just tweaked it to be updated for everyday wear. This is a real authentic antique petticoat with original embroidered details at the bottom ruffles that are just stunning. The waistband is the original drawstring waist with original tie, but with most petticoats they are left open at the side closure. So we added a triangle of fabric using a vintage calico print to close the side and give an added detail.
