I have been collecting antique Navajo blankets and jewelry for over 20 years, and have a real love and appreciation for them. There are times where I find some blankets and rugs that have some damage on the edge or center so I can use these to make bags. This is a real authentic Navajo wool blanket from probably about the 1930s. It's made with churro wool so it's very soft and has lazy lines within the blanket, which you can see in the photos. The natural dyed colors and pattern in the weaving is just so beautiful! The back of the bag is made from a distressed brown cowhide leather and has heavy duty 9oz. leather straps and secured on with solid copper rivets.. The bag is fully lined with a heavy cotton duck canvas and has an interior double pocket to hold your loose items. This is a larger size bag that we are calling a weekender bag but it can also be used as a normal tote. This is a true heirloom piece!
